I have a Carrier 58GFA Furnace

I just bought a condo with a 58GFA gas furnace. When I light the pilot, turn the valve to on, then turn on the furnace, the induction motor runs ok, the main burner lights and looks ok for about 5 seconds, then it look like the pilot goes out and the thermocouple turns the valve off and it all goes out.

I've replaced the pilot burner anf thermocouple, but same problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

You will get cleaner responses if you start your own thread.
some folks with that particular furnace have found that a draft from the external fan attached to the Inducer motor blows that very sensitive pilot around enough to get it to drop out. A sheet metal wind sheild between the inducer fan and the pilot assy has been an inexpensive solution for some.
