Hydronic Baseboard temp

Due to a remodel I have a mix of 40 year old and 5 year old baseboard heaters in my house. The older baseboard does not seem to get as warm as the new. Is the newer style more efficient at dumping heat into the room? Should I consider replacing the old with the new style to keep the heat more even throughout the house?

If your finances permit it, I'd do it.
There could be various reasons for the poor performance of the old heaters, (gunk built up, newer fin style works better, etc.) all of which might be taken care of this way.

Could also be a water flow issue. And not related tot eh age of the heaters.

the old baseboard may be plugged up with hair or other debris or may not have proper clearance between bottom of register and flooring
