HVC on with Wood Stove?

My daughter has a house with electric heat, a wood stove in the basement and a HVC system. There seems to be some disagreement about whether she should be running the HVC system while the wood stove is being used. Comments? Thanks!!

I should have done a little more homework before posting the question. Turns out it is a " Van EE 2000 series HRV." Sorry for the mess up.

So, the question is, should this thing be running while the basement wood stove is on. She uses the stove as her primary house heating system. There is also ba$eboard electric heat in the house.

other then lowering the indoor humidity, it won't hurt.
