HVAC supply on load bearing wall

Hi guys and gals,

Im reworking an old house and trying to get another heat supply to the second floor. House is stucco so the there's basically firring strips on the exterior walls and this is just about the only spot to locate a supply. Based on the joists location I dont have much room to work with. I need to move one stud over about 2.5 inches to give me enough room for a supply. Take a look at the picture and let me know if this is feasible or if there are other alternatives. Thanks a bunch.

You may need to add a couple of additional jack studs on either side of the supply duct gap.
