Hvac run caps

Over the last several summers in Oklahoma, the number of bad split and regular run capacitors I encounter has become insane. I would easily say it encompasses 60-70% of my no cooling calls.
10 yrs ago I didn't even own a tester. Now it's nearly all I do. Even the older, better manufactured ones. Does anyone know the cause of this?

Heat.

I wouldn't count it out, but it's always been extremely hot here. I guess what I'm wanting to hear is a stretch really. Not knowing much about the way electricity is manufactured I kind of assumed it had something to do with spikes in the stein waves causing them to swell and burst. Like I said earlier, it even happens to caps that have been running summer after summer for decades. I'm at a loss here, just want to put my finger on it. Thank you for the reply, I was starting to think I posted a dumb question lol

Heat eventually heat gets/got to even the old PCB filled caps.

Sounds like planned obsolescence to me sir. Not to go bad mouthing the hard working engineers out there, of course.

Economical cut back, to stay competitive. :)

Makes me better appreciate a 3 phase. So I'm guessing a man can't find a more durable brand of dual rated caps, right? It's just a circumstantial thing?
