HVAC replacement

Anyone have an old system replaced recently? I need a complete overhaul and am curious about what I am about to pay. I live in the DFW area.

My unit is undersized and has bad coils. Plus I am pretty sure its the original unit which would be 1996.

you really won't get any prices here....get a local company to come and see the job..if its undersized ..they can do a load cal and size it right and check ductwork as well...ben sr

HVAC replacement

Three things to consider when replacing a system.
1. Make sure the contractors(s) bidding give you calculations as to what size unit you need, not just relpace what is there.
2. Get references from all contractors and actually check them.
3. Get at LEAST 3 bids, and make sure they are all comparing the same type of installation..

Of course there are more, but common sense will be very important in making your decision, and this forum is full of suggestions and opinions.
