Hvac question

I have a trane unit model - TTA060C400A0.
And its a straight cool not heat pump.
When in cool mode, the outside unit put out heat from all sides around the unit but not from the top. Why? Please help me on this.

Hvac question

it should not do that as the fan is now running backwards. very good chance the capacitor is faulty. rare but when it fails the fan can do that. either that or someone wired it up wrong. if it worked OK B4 then it may be the cap.

I check the cap for the fan and its rated for 7.5 mfd. when check with my meter it read 6.9.
And last spring we change out the fan blade, if that is installed upside down, would that cause that to happen also.

Lol, yea it the exact fan blade from graingers..
Some one told me try switching the wires around on the capacitor. The cap did not have C or F on it. So I couldn't tell.
By the way this is for a hotel up town Charlotte that I work for.

A weak cap can cause a fan motor to run backwards.

Can you see the hub where the screw is to tighten down the fan onto the motor shaft when looking at the unit from the top?

You shouldn't be able to.

True but Trane doesn't make their own fan blades. Trane uses GE fan blade. Grainger sell GE fan blades. If its the same manufacture number it's the same blade

It's looks exactly like the same blade, the hotel only have an account with granger . And I check , I cannot see the lock nut from top. But the AC still works great. Just taking the heat out the wrong way. I will try switching that fan Blade around when I get a chance. Thanks guy.
