HVAC Pro Worth Joining

I was curious if there were any members or former members from the HVAC Pro Section and what they thought of the HVAC Pro section of this forum? I have been around HVAC at my job, but mostly had to do with replacing Cap's, Fans, Belts, and leak checking for the HVAC contractors. I have replaced a couple a compressors, but I was looking for a good community to discuss and learn. Is this it?

Pro forums of any kind tend to be a bit elitist and some Pros don't like talking to people other than themselves. Kinda like Doctors. If you have thick skin and find a few guys who will talk you fine but I kinda doubt you will enjoy it, That is why there is a seperate DIY / homeowner level forum. Most tend to treat DIYers the same way we treat apprentices and thats just the way we were treated and the cycle continues. Cest la Vie.

I think you would get better basic information on this side of the site. The guys that are taking time to help folks out on the DIY side are fairly patient and clear in explanations without getting wrapped up in terminology and vocabulary which can get confusing. Try it for a bit and see if you like it.
