HVAC Options-Recommendations?

A "ton" of refrigeration = 12,000 btu's Which stands for british thermal unit, it is a heat measurement. The btu is the amount of heat that's needed to raise one pound of water 1 deg F. Just a little FYI for the DIY...lol

HVAC Options-Recommendations?

How many sq/ft is the game room ?

It might be cheaper to up grade to 3 ton unit for the hole house and add a return and supply vent to the new room.

Just about 1000 SF, 52 x 27 less about 200 SF.

Afraid I might need to go to 4 tons in total, also do not want to cool this space except when we need to use it. Split system is an option but current central HVAC unit is only two years old.

Looks like I will got with one of the self contained motel style units.
