No jokes. It was your suggestion to tap the pipes and valves. It's heating up my place now. No heat for the last 3.5 days. I thought it was the whole building but I asked a neighbour in the elevator if they had heat. They said yeah, so I called up the condo manager and she said she'll send a super to take a look at it. The super finally dropped in this afternoon and said all eletrical is fine. I will have to contact a HVAC professional and have it fixed myself. Since it was 5 pm and I doubt there's HVAC professionals working late nights on a Friday. I thought I'd give this forum a try and it worked.

The smacking trick works! LOL.... Obviously that valve is sticking. Still have the Maintenance folks replace the valve even though it is working for now. You don't want to get stuck with no heat when you needed it most.

Might wanna keep that hammer handy. My bud just emailed me who does institutional HVAC. Said he's changing fan coil water valves left and right...all China made.

Apparently they even send us furnaces from China. Oh Joy! Called RiteTemp as HDepot was advertising them where I am. Saw the same brand of window A/C with made in China on it.
