HVAC help please

I'm having a problem with my HVAC. I own a condo and there's no heat. The heating unit is in the wall with the filter just below it. The fan keeps coming on and blowing room temperature air. I checked the fuse panel and it's fine. I adjusted the temperature on the thermostat to see if that will get it to work. No luck. I opened up the panel and see a motor like module with copper pipes going into it. The pipes are hot. Can anyone help?

Is your water heater in the same closet?

No, it's a newer condo. I believe it's a centralized boiler. There's no boiler in my unit. But the copper pipes leading into the module is hot. I can take a pic and post it, if that helps?

The picture will help. Do you rent the condo? If so the building maintenance guy should be involved.

Here are the pics. I own the condo. It's the weekend and it's hard to get a HVAC professional right now. Was wondering if I can fix it myself for the weekend. If not, then I'll call the HVAC professional on Monday. Thanks for your help guys.

It's a fan coil.

All the condos serviced by one boiler and a chiller.

If the fan does not work switch the thermostat fan auto-on to the on position and see if it comes on

The fan is working. It's just blowing out room temp air.

Appears to have electric solenoid valve(s) on the water line which may not be opening. The thermostat may not be sending a signal or a relay may not be opening the solenoid valve. You may need a Pro to sort it out. If you rent and damage it they may hold you liable.

Can I try hitting it to get it to work? Or will that break it even more? What kind of heating system is this called?

If you can hold on to the water pipes the boiler is probably not up to temp. Check with the neighbors to see if there is a problem with theirs.

then try the valve. Dont beat on it. Just give a firm tap.

A lot of the water valves these days are coming from China and they jam.

You guys are awesome! There's heat coming out. I think it was clogged. I took a hammer and lighty taped the water valves. There's a hot spot along the pipes, then there's a warm spot, then there's a cold spot. I just tapped around the warm area where I think is clogged and turned it back on. Heat is coming out of the vents now. Thanks guys!
