HVAC Furnace question

hardentheo Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 1	HVAC Furnace question My Furnace is 75,000 BTUs. What would happen if I had a furnace installed that is 115,000 BTUs?

beenthere An old Tradesmen   Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: PA Posts: 18,651	HVAC Furnace question Most likely it wouldn't heat your house very well. As it would lock out on its high limit temp because it requires a lot more air flow then your 75,000 BTU. And your duct work wasn't sized for a 115.000 BTU furnace.
