Does it use a different speed for heat then it does for cooling.

May be the mechanical noise of the blower running at a lower speed. Some blower motors labor more at a lower speed then they do at a higher speed.

Remove the lower speed tap wire from the heating speed tap on teh board, and run a jumper from the cooling board tap to the heating board tap.

I would also check bearing play in the motor.

The burners don't use the same air as the house does. the burners would be using a draft inducer, which is not the same as teh blower that moves air in your house.
