Hvac capacitor


My capacitor for my AC unit is all rusted and cannot see MFD rating , how can I tell what rated capacitor to buy for my carrier AC split system , condenser unit.
Serial 1107E69008
Model 24ABA342A310
Compressor RLA 17.9. LRA. 112
Max fuse 40 amp.
Please help

would have to get a Carrier tech or dealer to find out 4 U. another option is to contact americanhvacparts.com and probably they can look it up 4 U and you get it from them.

take some cooking oil and rub it on the cap and the numbers may be easier 2 C.

Can't find your exact number on their website. Closest I can come is 24ABA324A0031010. However that unit appears to take a 35/5 370v. This is the part number P291-3553RS from Carrier.

Granted this is assuming that is actually your model number becasue I can't find the exact one you posted.

Sorry I got the wrong number there. Closest I can find to the number you listed is 24ABA342A0031010. Assuming that's your unit it takes a 45/5 mfd 370v. Carrier part # P291-4553RS.

I called granger and it is 45/5 mfd . You guys rock. Thanks you very much scotty. I am now new in the Hvac field. I have my EPA already.
