HVAC Blower Fan Won't Shut Off
I have a Carrier six element electric forced air HVAC. It is heating and cooling fine, but the blower fan will not shut off. The thermostat is set on auto (auto or on) and on heat (heat, off, cold). If you lower the temperature setting below current room temp., heat cuts off, but fan runs continuously. If you turn the thermostat to the off setting (heat, off, cold), the fan continues to run. The only way the fan can be turned off is to trip the circuit breaker for the furnace. Then, when flipped back on, the fan comes on immediately. Is this a fan relay issue? Can it be reset?
Thanks for any help.
hi , sounds like the fan sequencer or fan controller is sticking in the on postion allowing fan to run on and shud be replaced if thats it ..and other sequecers shud be checked ,,and all electical connections shud be checked and tightened if need be
