Does anybody have the formula for calculating the Btu's on an forced air furnace. It will be located in the basement. I tried looking for in my refrigeration book, it talks more about water temperature and air loss. My unit measurements are 21' x 36' x 8' height. Anybody out there.

Not enough info. Is this unit just for the basement? Are the walls insulated? Is the ceiling insulated? Any windows? Where are you located? Fully under-ground or partial? Heat load calc would be best.
