Hunter 44132 thermostat to a Rheem AC

I'm trying to connect a 5 minute universal hunter 44132 thermostat . I have a brand new Rheem AC. Need wiring advice. On the hunter in order it's R, Y, G, L, O, B, A/E, Y2, C. The wire colors coming out the wall are Red, yellow, green, blue, orange, and white.
I've tried two wiring methods so far and I can't get air to blow through the vents. What do you suggest?

did you write down which wires were in which terminals on the old thermostat. it will depend on where the wires are connected to on the air handler unit. just cause a wire is red doesnt mean it was connected to the R terminal. they are just colors to help avoid confusion on which wire is which. check at the unit because the installer could have done something funky.

No. The installer and his buddy had a disagreement so both fooled with the thermostat, and it was not functioning correctly. I bought a new one because I didn't trust that the thermostat they used worked properly. They both fiddled with the wires and changed them around so it's a mess. I have to get an electrician in or fix this myself.

Rheem A/C, or is it a heat pump.

you dont need to call an electrician. they tend to know as much about this kind of control system as you do, if you call in any professional call an HVAC tech who is certified in Heat Pumps. you need to check the wiring at the unit then wire it up the same at the stat. are you sure you got a compatible tstat for your system?
