Humidity

Just installed new 90+ furnace and 2 1/2 ton, 14 SEER A/C. System does not pull enough moisture out. Humidity in house at 71% @ 75*F. Outside 48% @ 76*F. Same story at 85% and 80*F. What's the story? What's the fix?

Sounds as if the 2 1/2 ton a/c Should have been Smaller. Too much cooling capacity will cause this exact problem.

Did you have a load calculation done? If not chances are the equipment is too big as mentioned before.

Humidity

Previous 2 1/2 ton unit worked fine. New 2 1/2 ton, 14SEER seems to not remove humidity.

Previous 2 1/2 ton needed longer run times due to being inefficient. Newer system is more efficient and less run time. Shoulda had a load calc done before you bought =( .
