I haven't because the steam will shorten the life of your heat exchanger. It will rust out faster in most cases. The industry has had steam humidifiers for years without much success.

Unless Your Close Off And Insulate Your Furnace From The Rest of The Attic - It Is Unsafe To Run A Humidifier In Your Attic. I Have Had Customers Try Themselves.. Not A Good Result.

Most Companies Have Gone Away With The Steam Style Humidifiers - Due To Unreal Application Specifications - and In Some Cases, Resulting In Voided Furnace Warranties.

Aprilaire offerers In Wall Humidifiers - Depending on Your Application, Could Be an Option For You. I Think It's The 400 Series.. I Am Completely Not Sure.
