Humidifier Wiring

Hi, I'm pretty sure the 24v transformer mounted on top of the "field make-up box" in my Lennox G50UH is gone.

I can rewire the humidifier to the board but the drum will only be turning when the blower is on for heat instead of all the time like it was.

Any issue with this? Specifically with the drum maybe drying out between heating cycles?

Thanks,
Pete

Its fine if the humidifier only runs when the fan is on.

Humidifier Wiring

Well, I went to do the wiring and I'm glad I double checked the board because it is a LINE voltage connection...glad I didn't send 120V to my little 24VDC humidifier motor

The manual says a humidifier can be hooked up here...I didn't know there were 120V bypass humidifiers.

I'll be replacing the transformer on the make-up box.

Transformers don't last long if they are wired into the blower motor wires themselves. So some manufacturers provide a 120 volt Hum terminal that is safe to connect a transformer to.
