Humidifier Install Question - Inside A Coil OK?
I'm installing an Aprilaire 600A flow through bypass humidifier on the return duct and the bypass on the supply. Unfortunately the A coil basically takes up all the space in the supply trunk (vertical run directly above furnace where the A coil is) before it goes to the horizontal plenum. My question is this - should I install the 6" bypass at this location as you typically see (inside the A coil as opposed to above it), or should I make an elbow and have a vertical length extend into the plenum running along the ceiling?
Alternatively, I may be able to install the humidifier on the supply side, but it will be right up beside the A coil
Any advice is appreciated.
