Question

Humid in one room

I just had Central A/C installed in my 1910 home in Florida. It is great...but I noticed that one of the bedrooms downstairs is really humid. Now keep in mind this is an old house and it has no insulation. The bedroom is also in one of the corners of the house, so it has two exterior walls.

Is there any way to make this one room not so humid?

Humid in one room

Unless you have very easy to identify conditions / lots of low hanging shade trees over the room / off grade house with water ponding under the room /
slow water intrusion somewhere/

Is this a (it feels humid) or have you measured the Rh.

Your new new central AC system may not be balanced properly or the air is not returning to the unit properly.

Did your installers adjust all the grills to balance your system and or advise you to leave doors open did they install return vents in all the bedrooms to FL code? ( or leave the transoms over your doors open to allow the air to return)

Humid in one room

I just am going by how sticky I feel, not by any official measurements. They put returns in all of the bedrooms as well as the hallway.

We have dual units, but the one upstairs is not running because that area is still under construction. Upstairs is really humid as well, so perhaps once that one gets turned on, we will re-evaluate the humidity throughout the house to see if it evens out.
