HRV intake and exhaust?

I have puchased a Lifebreath 155 MAX HRV system, without installation kit. Wondering about the best option for an airtight intake and exhaust with dampers either a hood type or grille type and are theer opposing hoods ie one intake, one exhaust? Lifebreath does have an online kit, but the hoods are white I would prefer something dark if quality is the same.
I would also appreciate any pointers on the install prior to pulling out my core bit and tampering with the bricks along the rim joist. Thanks
