How much would it cost to convert an oil water heater to an electric water heater?

Look at electric water heaters at HD and Lowes, along with the wire and breakers and electrical disconnect you would need.

There is no conversion kit to change your water heater over to an electric unit.

You need to run 220v to the heater and an electrical service that can support this. I believe most local codes require a licensed electrician to do this.
