How to Insulate behind Wall Stack Supply Duct

I am finishing my basement and in my area it is building code to continue the supply ducts from the ceiling down a wall. I am in the process of planning this and i have the angle boot, and rectangular stack ... but the distance between the concrete and my walls is about 4". I need to insulate behind the stack and i need at least a R14 rating ... What are the pros doing to insulate ?

FYI I am in Ontario Canada and the builders here insulate to the frost line with Pink Batt Insulation (4ft) ... I am going to be insulation the rest with Roxul ....

How to Insulate behind Wall Stack Supply Duct

In London Ontario ....
I considered the rigid foam but doubling up on 2" foam plus the actual stack wont allow me the space .... Maybe i should have studded with 2x6 ...

I may have to live with the single R10 (2" foam board) behind the stack ....

It might do ...
