how to cover air vent

We have baseboard diffusers that are longer than any standard size (possibly 32"? I can't remember off hand, but I have searched online and cannot find the size we need anywhere). They do not have a way to be closed, and we would like to in a couple of bedrooms to force more air in the living space. We'll probably just have to keep the ones we have, but would like to cover them sometimes. Any suggestions? The only thing we have thought of is maybe trying to put magnetic sheeting over them.
