Hot Water Recovery- Heat Pump A/C mode

I've heard there is a way to pre-heat the domestic hot water in the summer utilizing some component with the outdoor condenser of my heat pump.

Where can I find more information on this and the cost effectiveness of doing so?

I monitor my water heater and thus far it has been on for 3hrs and 48 minutes today. I'd like to find a creative way to reduce the costs of that.

I have hot water hooked to my humidifier.

You would need a desuperheater, and have to add a preheat tank before your current water heater.

Google desuperheaters.
