Hooking up new thermostat. Just need some clarification

Master, I hooked it up as suggested and the tstat turns on but none of the functions work. I tried to turn the fan on (recirc) and heat on but nothing. Any other suggestions?

I didn't think I needed to since the fan and other functions worked before (but then again it was hooked up wrong). Anything specifically that needs to be changed? I did try to change the system from conventional which was default to auto sense but that didn't make a difference. I did hook up the old tstat just to be sure I didn't burn anything out and it all works ok so thats promising.

Power it up and wait for 5 minutes. Come back and turn the fan to "on" and see what happens.

What is the model of the new stat?

I am wondering if the stat was damaged during the cool test yesterday. When you hooked the white wire to c, which c did you connect to and from?
