Honeywell Zone valve problem

I am having issues with 1 of my 2 heating zones. One Zone is not getting heat. The valve will not open even when the manual lever is engaged. This entire system is less then 2 years old. The motor does activate when heat is called and the furnace fires but the valve remains closed. Is this a bad powerhead or do i need to replace the whole valve?

Thanks

Replace the whole valve, keep the head from the faulty valve as a spare.

Did you check the boiler pressure? May be low on water or an air lock in that zone.

Honeywell Zone valve problem

After buying a new zone valve and dismantling the old one i found the problem. Apparently when it was soldered on (like a year ago) excess solder entered into the valve itself. Somehow recently it formed an airtight seal not allowing any water to pass. When i unbolted the valve door and cleaned this out everything now functions properly. I guess i can return my valve now, lucky me. Thanks for all the help guys.
