honeywell thermostat rth 8500

hello from a new member !!!

I recently purchased a new honeywell rth8500 thermostat for my heating system, (lennox heat pump with a york elec york furnace), the old thermostat was a honeywell t 8501d

old thermostat wiring diagram

red wire to r for 24 volts ac
orange wire to o/b for reversing valve
yellow to y for compressor
green to g for blower
black to c for common 24 volts
white to w2 for second stage heating and emergency
dark blue to l for service light
also a jumper for y to w1 ???????????????????????
W1 is for first stage (heat) not sure

On the new thermostat i have two rows i will star from left one

first row on top second row on top

Y2 RC jumper between RC & R
L R
E W O/B
AUX W2 Y
g
c

I need help, just want to do a good job because i am not sure.
The installation guide said if your old thermostat had y1,w1 and w2 please contact a contractor.

Thank you very much for your help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suggest sitting down and reading the books that came with it. Always works, along with asking before you tackled it.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?

Rc & R = red
O/B = orange
Y = yellow
G = green
C = black
Aux and E = white (use a jumper wire)
L = dark blue

option 170 = 7 heatpump with aux heat strip.
The w to y jumper is no longer required.
