I have a couple of questions about my TH8320 t-stat. I have a TempStar Heat Pump and Gas Furnance. T9MPV ( VS 90 ) gas furnance and a TXH4 ( TX 5400 ) Heat Pump. Furnance was advertised to have two stage heating ( self adjusting heat modes ).
When I look at the functions, the t-stat does not show the setting for function 360-Heat Pump Auxiliary Lockout. Why ?
The t-stat is setup as follows:
0170 - 7
0180 - not shown skips to
0190 - 0
0200 - 1
0210 - 0
0220 - 3
0230 - not shown - why ???
0240 - not shown - why ???
0250 - 3
0260 - not shown
0270 - not shown
0280 - 1
0300 - 1
0310 - 3
0320 - 0
0330 - 2
0340 - 2
0350 - 40 ( moved this higher, up from 30 )
0360 - not shown --- Why ????
0380 - not shown
What is considered the auxiliary heat source? The gas furnance or electric resistance heaters on the heat pump ?
Is there a book that explains how this system should work ? Explains the setup parameters and so on ? Some kind of HVAC book that explains the whole system .
The furnace is suppose to have variable speed fan control, but I see that the TH8320 does not allow the use of variable speed control. Should I
consider upgrading my t-stat to the Honeywell IAQ ?

Reason: Need to add some details.
Aux heat is the furnace. The TH8320 is not able to control 2 stages of gas aux heat.
No real book.
The VS feature of the blower, is that it will ramp up or down to maintain set air flow, not that you actually control it.
