Honeywell TH5220D1029 issue

Hi all,

I just installed a Honeywell thermostat and I'm having a problem with the set point adjusting itself. Meaning it is running continously and I have it set at 72 degrees and once it maintains that temperature it never turns off.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

do you have a 80% or 90% eff. furnace? 80 set cph to 4 or 5 90 set cph to 2 or 3

Its common for that stat to run the heat for several minutes after the display reads the set temp. Due to the displayed temp being rounded up.

Thanks so much! We've decided to call a professional. It will never turn off no matter what. I have a carrier heat pump. I appreciate you all responding!

Your welcome.

Remember. if the outdoor temps are low. Most heat pumps won't shut off.
