honeywell rth221b thermostat not signaling automatic draft to open

OK i have a hotblast 1800 wood furnace, and just installed a new limit switch, fan center and thermostat. Everything seem to be working except for the automatic natural draft is not opening. I have wire hooked from r on thermostat to r on fan center and g to g. But when i jump r to g with wire on fan center it opens. Then when i remove wire it closes. I have wired exactly how my manual states. Any help would be great thank you

Move the jumper behind the stat to HE...

The jumper is located on the back of the thermostat faceplate. It
determines how the fan operates when placed in Automatic mode.
• HG (factory setting): Leave the jumper in this position for gas or oil
heating systems. In this position, the heating system controls the
fan operation and activates the fan only when the plenum air is
sufficiently warm.
• HE: Place the jumper to this position for electric heating systems.
In this position, the thermostat activates the fan only when there is
a call for heat.

Mine has a switch labeled gas or electric / electric or heat pump. So i should switch it to heat pump?
