Honeywell IAQ Wiring Confirmation?

Hi,
My first post, glad I stumbled across this great forum.

I'm replacing my current thermostat and humidistat with the VisonPro YTH9421C1010.

Current Equipment:
Carrier Furnace 58STA110
GeneralAire Bypass Drain Humidifier 1042LH

Current Setup
HUM1 goes the furnace board
HUM2 is splice in a blue cable that's run directly to the Humidistat control
HUM2 (Blue) -- Humidistat
COM (Orange) --> Humidistat

G (Green) --> G Thermostat
Com (Brown) --> C Thermostat
W (Black) -- W Thermostat
Y --> Not Used
R (Red) --> R Thermostat

See photo:
http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/4...rrentsetup.jpg

Planned IAQ Setup:

G (Green) --> G EMI
Com (Brown) --> C EMI
W (Black) -- W1 EMI
Y --> Not Used
R (Red) --> R EMI

Hum1 (Wire) --> C EMI
Hum2 (Wire) --> HUM2 EMI
Jumper Hum1 & RH together on the EMI

1 EMI --> 1 Thermostat
2 EMI --> 2 Thermostat
3 EMI --> 3 Thermostat

I guess the question I have is should I be removing the HUM1 cable from the furnace board? I do want the IAQ to control the humidstat and turn on the furnace blower when necessary.

Thanks

Honeywell IAQ Wiring Confirmation?

Humidifiers com should go to the com of furnace. Jumper EIM R to HUM1 and then a wire from HUM2 to humidifier.

Thanks for the reply. I only have 2 wires coming from the humidifier.

So is this how it should look:

Humidifier wire 1 --> Furnace COM (on circuit board, this is the way it was originally)
Humidifier wire 2 --> HUM2 EMI
Jumper on EIM R to EIM HUM 1

Thanks!

Thanks,
Looks like most of it's working, but my humidifier isn't starting. I also don't see a way to adjust the humidity on the unit.

It show the humidity, also I can see it when I hit the more button, but can't adjust it.

you must enable that function in the installer setup. 372 = 1 or 3 if you used an outdoor stat 374 = 2

Thanks, I have that set to 1, and I can control the humidity. I still can't seem to get the actual humidifier to kick in. I have it set to 60% max (currently at 33% in the house).

Anything look wrong with this?

Should I maybe remove HUM1 from the furnace board and wire it the C on the EMI, that's what the wiring guide has?

I do have RH and Hum1 on the EMI jumped together, but that shouldn't matter as R, RC & RH all have a built in jumper.

I'm just using the unit thermostat for now, don't have the outdoor sensor setup yet.

I installed this same t-stat last weekend and this is how I wired my humidifier - both leads from the humidifier connected to the EIM.

Thank everyone, it's all up and running now with both HUM 1&2 wired directly to the IEM.

I have a ventilation/exhaust switch wired above my thermostat. Anyone know how I would go about wiring this in the IEM for ventilation control, so I could program it to come on during the day for a short interval? It's currently controlled by a high voltage switch.
