Home furnace in garage...

Hooked up my newly purchased used house furnace in the garage. I have a problem though. I hooked up the t stat (I have the W & R wires hooked up to the t stat) and I can get the fan to turn on but the ignition process does not initiate. Usually the direct vent motor would start up followed by the igniter... but nothing. Any ideas on what I should check first. I did notice there were two sets of R & W terminals that have what look like tstat wires. Here is a pic. I am connected to the right set

Home furnace in garage...

It's not real clear but from what I can see you need to use the lower right Red and the upper right white.
Do not tie across the transformer power leads R & C this can blow the transformer or thermostat or both.
Good luck.

Additional note: If this is setting on the floor in a garage be carefull gasoline fumes can beignited by the exposed flames. You should use a sealed combustion unit in a garage or if not sealed combustion it needs to be 8FT off the floor if I rember corectly.
