Home air-sanitizing tower

Hi everyone,

I am planning to build a home air-sanitizing tower for personal use. I am asking for some of your ideas how to do it. Whatever comes to your mind.

I've decided what the lamp and the ballast would be. The lamp would be Philips TUV 64T5 HO 4P SE or TUV 36T5 HO 4P SE.

The question is how I am going to support this lamp and how to make the outer casing. Nothing fancy. Just to do the task correctly and efficiently.

About the support - I was thinking to use some kind of L-shaped metal profiles with holes on them that would be assembled and the lamp will be supported by them. Something like two hands holding the lamp in vertical position.

About the outer casing - I am not sure... May be cylinder made of some kind of sheet metal. On the top of that cylinder would be the exhausting fan ( quiet one ). Around the bottom would be the air intake ( with or without filters ).

Basically this is what is going in my mind these days. I've decided to share it with someone. Hopefully a better solution would be found.

Please, whatever comes to your mind as implementation share it with me. I would definitely appreciated it.

Here is a kind of schematics of what I mean:

BTW for some reason I can't insert the picture using [IMG] code.

Thanks in advance,
