hissing sound in boiler

While desperately trying to figure out why I am constsntly getting air in my hydroponic system, and why my system pressure is slowly dropping, I stayed in the basement and wittnessed the boiler flame shutting off. Afterward, when all was quiet, I heard a hissing sound. Could that indicate that I have a leak and the water is escaping out of the manifold? Is this repairable or will this mean I need a new boiler system?

Could be a leak in the boiler block.

May need a new boiler, or a section replaced.
Most residential units, aren't worth having a section replaced.
