I live in northern BC Canada and I am in the market for purchasing a new high eff.Gas Furnace.
I am looking for input from anyone who has any info on Trane,Lennox,Carrier, and Bryant natural gas furnaces.
Any problems you may have had with any of furnaces would be greatly appreciated.on - /warrantee/durability/costs.(at the present quote re CARRIER gas furnace 96 % variable speed = $5000.00 Canadian Funds installed replacement cost)
No info on Lennox,Bryant,or Trane
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
I do know that you need a drain line for the furnace and sometimes those have frozen up while in use, causing headaches. It does not matter which brand, they'll all require drain lines if they are condensing furnaces.
These drains are in addition to your evaporator cooling condenseate drain lines.
You'll also be needing a fresh air intake to the furnace which requires the use of a 2" or 3" pvc pipe to be run from the furnace to the outside of your home.
