help with wiring


my dad came over to change my transformer on my lennox furnace and had to leave on business, now i am trying to put new on in but i am unsure how the low voltage side hooks back up i know then go to the thermostat wires but dont know which one go where the low voltage wires are red and green any insight would help

if your down in the furnace the RED goes to the R 24v HOT connection within the furnace and the GREEN goes to the C terminal COMMON again if you have a terminal strip...if it is connecting to a solid state board check the schematic and trace the 2 low voltage wires into the board might even see a R screw teminal and C screw terminal on that board...always do this with the furnace toggle power switch off for shock reasons but if your new transformer isnt fused one sparked wire will burn it out.getting a 24V or 115V shock is like sticking your finger with a sewing needle ...be carefull with power off you good to go
