HELP Please - Lennox 90UGFA2-50 Furnace

First let me say thanks for this great site. I am hoping one of you can give me the help I need.

I have a Lennox Merit Series model #90UGFA2-50-6 furnace that the combustion blower motor will not run. Does not matter if system is in cool/heat or off with the fan set to "on" to run continuously the fan will spool up for a split second and then shut off.

The code lights are flashing simultaniously a slow flash indicating the system is normal.

I have disconnected/reconnected all wires and cleaned the condensating trap etc. I'm at a loss.

A quick reply would be greatly appreciated as it is starting to get cold here in Ontario at night.

Thanks,
James

That's the furnace control board checking all the safeties on power up.`With a call for heat the lights should change from a slow flash to a fast flash. If they're not doing that then the thermostat isn't calling for heat.

Thanks for the reply Marty. Not sure I understand completely though, I have tried each of the settings (heat - off - cool) on the thermostat and in all cases when the fan switch is turned to "on" it will function as described above.

So even with the switch set to "off" and the fan set to "on" without trying to send a heat or cool signal the fan will only spool up for a split second and shut down. The code lights do not change, they stay a constant slow blink on both which on the panel are to indicate "normal operation".

Any other ideas on what to look at?

Thanks again,
James.

My bad. I thought you meant the inducer motor. Jumper r ang g on the control board to eliminate the tstat and wiring. If that doesnt work check to see if the control board is sending 120v to the motor.
