Help me w/ clicking sound in new ducts

Just had a new hydro-air heating system installed along with ducts in old house. We have a few issues w/ install and they are coming back timorrow to address. I'd love some feedback so that I can help guide to a good solution.

1. Clicking sound coming from cieling register when heat in use
2. Our one year old boiler has indirect water heating tank. No issues in the past, but after we turned on new heat suddenly the water is scolding hot (can easily cause a burn). We had hot water radiators in the past.
3. Cold air blowing although only heat setting is selected on the thermostat after the heat turned off
4. Clicking sound from thermostat when the system activates. It is in our bedroom.

Thanks for insights.

Heat expansion of the duct, its rubbing on something.[/COLOR]

Does the indirect have a mixing/tempering valve on it?

Check to see if your thermostat has been set up with a blower off delay in heat mode. Also possible they used an aquastat to turn the fan on in heat mode, and it may not be sensing the water temp in the coil.

Most digital thermostats click. They have relays in them.

Thank you. I will look into your points. You mention that MOST thermostats click. Do you know any models that operate silently?

You should hear the thermostats that control our electric radiant floor heating in our bathrooms. Loud enough to wake the dead. Took me awhile where I don't notice them anymore.

Thanks. I still have a chance to swap out the thermostat and would like to do that for better night sleep!

Or the really basic and horrible analog ones.

The dial ones aren't too bad through.

Thank you. I am researching high end honeywell models.

Also, it appears the clicks are from the new registers that are plastic. They are calling the manufacturing company to try to resolve.
