Help with low air flow.

I recently purchased a home and have had the outside unit replaced on my central a/c. There is very little air flow coming out of the ceiling vents and the outside copper lines have ice build up whenever the system is running. The first thing I did was look to replace the filter and haven't been able to find it!! I and 2 other people have looked at the air handler and haven't been able to find the filter. Two questions: Any suggestions on where the filter may be found and is this the most likely problem? Thanks for you assistance.

AC air flow

The return line to compressor should have insulation on it. Blowers in most home AC located with furnace, filter on air intake. Coils maybe freezing with ice causing air flow restriction. New units use two speed blowers, Call installer back if you just had work done.:D

We almost always install a filter next to the unit in the return air duct if there isn't a filter rack built into the unit. The installer may have just not installed the filter. Next thing to check would be the cooling coil in the SA plenum. Could be iced up or full of dirt, or other junk.

As was mentioned above, if this system is under warrentee, call them back and have them make it right.

it may be that you have 1 central return grill that has a filter (filter grill) at the ceiling.
