Help getting furnace to run in fan mode?

Hi,

I have a gas Trane XE90 gas furnace with a Honeywell RTH2510 thermostat. The furnace work great in the heat mode, but I would like to run the blower during hot weather to circulate the cooler air in the basement. When I switch the thermostat to cool and run it doesn't come on. According to the wiring diagram I have it wired right. There are only two wires a red and white.

Any help is appreciated,

Bob

I was thinking that I might, but when the old thermostat was on there you switch it to fan and it would run.
