Help Choosing Condenser to match with older Rheem Furnace
So I have an 80's rheem gas furnace that works well and has an evap coil in good shape as well so I am leaning on keeping them but the condenser is shot.
Total Rooms - 4
Sqft - 1400
Single story Low ceilings
Hot climate, decent insulation.
Failed condenser was a 3 ton but I wonder if a 2.5 ton or 3.5 ton can also work as well. Any opinions on the tonnage size and if you can use any brand to match with the Rheem airhandler, or does it have to stay Rheem? Any known condensers that are the best value and good efficiency that will fit this setup?
If the indoor coil is from the 80s. then it needs replaced. A 13 SEER won't work well with it.
