Heil furnace question

I had installed a new Heil furnace in 1993, model 867.769426. Gas Valve VR8204M 1075, Ignitor H01007457HW.
About 5 years ago I had the pilot cleaned. Now, it's not lighting up again. I cleaned it and it works fine. I have the flame on the pilot covering half.
When looking at the flame after it is running, the top prongs on the ignitor are glowing red after a couple of minutes. Is this normal?
