Heil Furnace

I am servicing a Heil gas furnace model # H9MPD125L20A2 that isn't cooperating. When I first found the unit the gas valve was not working. I installed a new gas valve and the unit fired and ran for aprox. 3 min. The unit then shut off and started clicking. I found the clicking noise to be the transiton box pressure switch assembly. I replaced this and the unit fired and once again went out after about 3 min. and started clicking again. The unit will run perfectly with the switch on the left of the assembly bypassed, but I know there is something causing the swich to trip. I can't find any ventilation problems. Anyone have an idea?

If the switch you are talking about proves venter operation you are not venting properly. shut it down and get a qualified tech. That switch is a safty switch.

If this furnace is one of the high eff. and vents on pvc make sure that the vent slops away from the unit so that there is no codensate build up . Also make sure there is no more than 3 elbows or it will create to much backpresure and it will not run properly . Hopefully this helps.

a good rule of thumb is less than 25' and no more than 3 90's, I use long sweepers as my 90's the older units had a drip leg on the trap but the units ive seen now do not have the trap system
