Hi,
When I bought my house, I was told that my central air conditioner worked, but just needed a new wire because "mice chewed through it." When I had my furnace serviced last fall, the man told me that I just needed to hook up these two wires that were hanging there. I should have had him do it at the time, but I didn't. Anyway, now I'm wondering if anybody can tell me where these two wires belong. The furnace works fine with the current configuration.

Note: the red and white wires in the lower left hand corner are the ones in question. They are a thinner gauge than the other wires that go to the thermostat. Also, the red and white wires in question are bundled together and come into the until with the four wires that go to the thermostat.
