wanna know the best way to check it for cracks??

Start it up and put a stick thermometer by the rollout switch. wait 5 mins for it to warm/expand and and once the fan starts the temp will rise like crazy by the rollout. gets to 300F and then trips. of course checking for popped rings and cracks is necessary but if it climbs quick near the rollout then it is a goner. beenthere done that and seen it happen many times.

IS The voltage to the valve AD or DC? It seams to be getting 7.5 DC Volts

It should be AC. Once again sorry for my bad info earlier. I feel very bad for it and I hope you won't judge my info in the future

AC. sounds like the ignition control may be bad or it is getting a weak signal from the flame sensor/pilot burner. those get corroded too same idea as the smartvalve just larger. you can try remove the pilot burner as it is not too fragile and clean the sensor which is the rod surrounded by porcelain with steel wool. also make sure the paint is scraped away on the surface the pilot burner attaches to. needs to be perfectly clean. sand it to bare metal and replace the ground wire from it if it has one. the flame signal needs to go to the ignition control thru that wire and/or the metal of the furnace thru grounding. removing the pilot burner can be VERY difficult on some of them as it is stuck behind a metal bracket etc and even a Pro will have a HARD time with that job.

try this ..turn valve to off position tap on front of valve ..turn back on .and try it we had one that was stuck that open it ...but even if it does work don't discard all the info here...ben sr............do this only if your getting 24 volts to valve...

U need to check for 24 volts at the MV/main valve terminal on the valve or the ignition control/ board AND to the C/ground/grd/ common terminal on the board or the terminal strip where the thermostat wires attach to the furnace. should be 3 terminals on the valve, MV and PV/pilot valve and grd/ ground or common. U will get 24 from PV to ground as the pilot valve is energized. you are not getting it to the MV main valve. you can check at the valve by removing the MV wire and not the PV and the going to the other grd terminal or C on the valve ( depends on how they labelled it ).

I checked the voltage at both terminals. my meter goes from 0.00 to OL when the furnace is trying to light. Meter is set to AC voltage, I checked it at the valve and the module that is sending the power.

don't know how you can get OL as that is open line and only used when doing a continuity/ohms reading not voltage. maybe your meter is gone bad. even if the valve is stuck closed you should bet a steady 24 volts AC at mv to grd. try from pv to grd as the pilot valve opens and must be getting 24 v. then you can see if your meter works or you are taking the proper reading. check for 24 volts from R to C on the terminal strip where the tstat wires attach, that eliminates the rest of the circuit. do that w/o it calling for heat and see and then call for heat. if it drops then the transformer is weak or there is a short or drain somewhere else.

Is your meter auto ranging? I see .OL instead of OL and am thinking it's on the wrong setting.
