heating vent placement

I am finishing my basement and don't know where to place the heat vents. Do I put them on the outside walls on the floor. And how many of them do i need? The room is about 15x25 and will have a fireplace. And second where should i put the cold air return. there is two vents and a return in the ceiling but i am guessing that is not the right place If anyone can help that would be great.

Usually in a basement supplys are on the outside wall from the ceiling. Returns should be on inside walls and near the ground for the basement. How many depends on the number of windows, insulation, living area or mainly storage, how many exterior walls ect. Was it comfortable with 2 supplies and 1 return?

Supplies at outside wall area.
Avoid square or round supplies.
Use rectangular ones that throw the air down toward the floor. It will give you a better air mix.
