Heating Thermostats

I want to change my thermostat to the oil burner to a digital programable type. Is there any special type that is required?

Not really. battery operated is what will be most common for a heat only set up.

Thanks,
I'll be shopping for one. The present one is not easy to read and I must guess what I have it set for. Also I like the idea of the programable type.
